I'll dominate 'serious boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the pair came face-to-face to promote next month's heavyweight fight.

Former two-time unified title holder Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge mismatch - at Miami venue on 19 December.

Boxer's Attitude

"I'm going to damage his features and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm superior," Joshua, 35, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I'm going to genuinely try to injure him. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of those words, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically famous for his showmanship - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul rather targeted former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after Ngannou turned down a fight offer.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, criticized UK rival Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua said.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since turning professional.

He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

However, the relative newcomer remains one of the sport's biggest financial successes, consistently making huge paydays.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in rounds four or five and stated he would prevent the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently under discussion for two years from now.

"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.

Size Difference

As both boxers met for the usual stare-down, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it emphasized just how surprising this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is really proceeding.
